All technological innovations apart,
what is the ultimate goal of science?
From what I see, It has to be immortality.
Inventions being made to enrich life,
An endless life to enjoy all of them.
Constant Medical progress being made,
the ultimate luxury would be to live life,
forever,
at a constant young age, like grow till your 20s,
and stop. Of course, by then you could choose,
when to stop your growth. And start again.
Obvious Discrepancy:
Population would multiply with no net decrease.
To obviate,
If this facility were to be made available only to,
a select few, the not selected would cause chaos.
To strike a balance,
humans might sacrifice child births for their own sole enjoyment,
of their existence.
Resulting Fallacy:
No new thoughts, with the same minds walking about !
Hence no new radical innovations, yes, radical innovations,
as far as I have known, need to manifest in fresh individuals.
Uncertainty:
Say, if Einstein chose to stagnate at his peak,
would his grand theory have borne fruit? I think it might,
if at least He proved there was no such.
So, do we need fresher humans?
If the ultimate goal was immortality indeed,
we would not.
Un-answerable:
What will we do living forever !?!
Ultimately, it has to get boring.
So now I think,
Apart from immortality, Science really has to find,
a solution to boredom,
What an irony,
In the quest for immortality, i kill boredom.
And apparently with immortality, boredom will manifest again,
sooner or later.
